Bryan McEleney BSc MSc PhD

What I do at work: E-commerce and web application developer, Linux and Apache system administrator. Six years experience.

Platforms: PHP, MySQL, SQLlite, XHTML, CSS, Javascript

Currently: Working with Vinyl Matt Media for the past four years, making software for hotel marketing and online booking. I have implemented a booking engine, and a database content management system for hotel websites. I also work with graphic designers to turn their designs into efficient XHTML, CSS and Javascript code. I have implemented a PHP library for rapidly producing forms and reports for database applications. I build virtual Linux servers for hosting applications and sites, and have implemented backup and site monitoring software.

Previous Experience: I was a student at University College Dublin for 11 years studying science and computer science. I left with BSc, MSc and PhD degrees, and was placed first in my final exams. Between the MSc and PhD I worked as an e-commerce developer with New World Commerce, where I implemented the Pigsback.com website.
